"We're Sorry, This Video Is No Longer Available" Temporary Fix
Final part of the solution, go here.
In recent weeks, i had been having problems loading YouTube videos on www.youtube.com as well as embedded YouTube videos on other websites. The mentioned error is depicted above. YouTube's CDN provider happens to be Limelight Networks. Initially i figured that the Limelight Networks CMS wasn't able to handle the additional number of requests because the number of slots to serve users had been used up and therefore the fetching of the FLV file had stalled thus resulting in the error message above being sent back to the user. But then after close inspection, i think the fault may also lie in certain videos that have been 'dumped' / 'transferred' into Google Video's cache server's because of Limelight's CMS not being able to stream the FLV file back to the user due to insufficient request slots at the backend. Read on...
I realised (in my case) that only the video files that were being loaded from vxx.cache.googlevideo.com had this problem. It wasn't a browser problem which quite a number of netizens thought it was because i loaded that same video on Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari, Netscape and Opera without success as well. Then some netizens faulted Google Web Accelerator. They uninstalled Google Web Accelerator and some say it worked for them (i think it's pure fluke). I don't have it installed on my PC but i still get the same error messages. Some also say reloading helps. This has helped me.. the reloading part. However, it's only a temporary solution until Google Inc. and Limelight Networks Inc solves this problem fully.
So try either ONE of these steps to see if you can overcome this problem. Tell me if it works for you!
A. Reboot your Router / Modem. Then reload the video on your browser.
B. Change your DNS settings and point it to OpenDNS's DNS server at either 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220 .
C. Completely UNINSTALL Google Web Accelerator from your machine. Here's how:
NB Don't forget to read PART II as well

hey thanks.. it worked... but like u said it's temporary. reloading sometimes helps too!

Robert, only RELOADING will help since it's an intermittent problem. There's no solution out there so far. Forget about installing Flock as well, it does not solve the problem.

my network connection control panel told me those DNS numbers above were invalid and wouldn't let me use them.

Jenny, you must have entered it wrongly. It works fine at my end. It's normally set at your Network Connection settings in windows under 'TCP/IP --> INTERNET PROTOCOL' or at your Router Modem settings. If you don't know how to do it, i suggest you don't use this method. Reloading your video seems to work all of the time.
Reloading works (if you're a patient person like me).. bottom line is that there is no solution to this problem yet.. .and that's a fact.

Well guys, if turning off the google accelerator didn't work for you, then maybe you need to try download Flock browser. I have no google accelerator, but i can't watch any video (95%). I found the tip about Flock web browser so i downloaded it. And now my problem is solved. Try to download Flock. Here is the link http://flock.com/

I do tech support for schools and we're behind a proxy server. Bizarre thing is that IE give the "We're sorry..." mesage on YouTube, but Opera and Firefox let you watch the movies.
Go figure!

This problem has been plaguing me. I tried Flock but I still experienced the same problem with it. C'mon YouTube, fix the damn problem! I seriously can't watch 75% of the videos I try to, including my very own!!!

I have this problem but just on one particular video and only when I want to watch it in high quality settings...using Flock, but unable to view high quality in IE as well.

Easy fix, for all windows vers. In internet explorer go into Tools/Internet Options/Connections Tab/Lan Setting. Once in Lan Settings, uncheck all boxes. ALL youtube videos will load now.
Pass it on.

I installed Firefox 3.0.3 and then almost every video on YouTube would not play. It would show a black video screen and say "we're sorry, this video is no longer available".
For me, the problem is in the proxy settings in Firefox.
Try this (it fixed the problem for me)...
Tools>options>Advanced>Network
The Window should say
"Configure how Firefox connects to the internet"
Click on the button "Settings"
Another page should come up saying
"Configure Proxies to Access the Internet"
There are 4 option buttons on this page.
I can see YouTube vids when I select
"No Proxy"
I cannot see YouTube vids when I select
"Auto-detect proxy settings for this network"
It is a DSL connection. It is a home installation. I use XP.
=========
A friend of mine is connected to the same modem as me, and he uses Vista. When he disabled the Popup Blocker IE would play Youtube vids.

At the end of the video address just write &fmt=18
for Example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SFrZZ5ge6o
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SFrZZ5ge6o&fmt=18
