Crocs? Who hasn't heard of Crocs? Think 'Crocs', think 'Comfortable'. That's the positioning statement in everyone's mind when they first launched years ago. Then came 'My Feet Doesn't Stink Anymore'. Few months down the road, that positioning statement changed to 'Ugly' to almost half of the population who's ever seen or heard of Crocs. Then came the mind positioning 'It's For Kids Only".
Whatever it is, one cannot discount the fact that Crocs had in fact created a storm in the past 2 years and it was during that time that sales of Crocs skyrocketed worldwide. Crocs became a multinational brand and a strong one no doubt. Crocs outlets were springing up all over the globe in major shopping centers in almost all big cities like mushrooms on steroids. It became the hottest talk of the town then. Crocs was brilliant, the community loved it because they were comfortable, your feet wouldn't stick after wearing em' and they were extremely airy. They were also cool and hip because of they were so colorfully decorated.
In Asia, there's a saying, 'whenever you have a replica of a product in the marketplace, it means that product has stamped and made its mark'. And this is so true because Croc replicas were springing up all over the globe as well. It was unstoppable.

The rest of the community hated Crocs because the majority of them found it drop dead ugly. Then Crocs Inc got hit pretty badly when the shoes were found to be extremely dangerous whilst on escalators. Apparently this wasn't the first time that there were accidents involving escalators and rubber clogs (before Crocs were invented). Oh well. Still Crocs made its mark and ended up as a MeMe here on Techxiety :)
