TypeRacer, located at http://www.typeracer.com, is a web-based flash game that has been getting a lot of traction recently. It's highly addictive, competitive and has highly successful word-of-mouth viral marketing traits. What TypeRacer basically is is a social typing game that allows you to match your typing speed (in WPM) with 1 or more players.
Most participating players of TypeRacer come from embedded game applications on social networks such as MySpace, Orkut and Hi5. The Facebook and Friendster TypeRacer application should be online within the next few months. From then onwards, i expect TypeRacer to climb the ranks to be the number #1 flash game on social networks.
Speedhacks are common for 'speed typing' based games. And in this article, i am going to review one of the speed hacks available online called 'AutoTyper', filename 'autotyper.exe' having 24,576 bytes in size. The screen shot for 'AutoTyper' is shown below.
To use 'AutoTyper' for TypeRacer, you would have to COPY the text you want typed into the 'Text to be Typed Automatically' box. The higher the 'Frequency' number, the slower the text input. The lower the 'Frequency' number the faster the text input. But course, the faster the text input, the more fake or impossible your score. The 'Delay' option will be the time of countdown as soon as you hit the 'Auto Type' button. Once you've set the 'Delay' option, say for example '3', then hit 'Auto Type', then quickly switch windows back to the game applet and place the cursor on the text input section of the game (3 second countdown before the speedhack auto-text input kicks in). Timing for auto-text input is crucial here. Take note that the auto-text input should ONLY kick-in AFTER the traffic light turns green. So time your delays to perfection.
It's almost impossible for a human being to be able to type 256 words per minute. In the screen above, the author of the game has been able to prevent cheaters from making it to the 'High Scores List' (those using speed type hacks) by requiring the individual to take another typing test to ensure that his new score would be consistent with his previous score.
So as depicted above, an image will appear and you would have to be able to type 256 words a minute again (based on your previous score) in the box at the bottom. Once that's done, you hit the SUBMIT button.
So it's pretty obvious you WON'T be able to use the hack again for the 2nd test because the text you're supposed to type is embedded in an image. Hacks normally don't capture text data from images as it requires a very comprehensive engine within it. So since you can't make it to AT LEAST 192 words per minute for the pass (since you hit 256 words per minute, 192 words per minute would be an appropriate passing mark), your high score(s) won't be saved.
So much for the TypeRacer speedhack :) An addictive game nonetheless. Let me know in the COMMENTS section if you want to test out the hack. I'll get back to you with a link.
Update 15th July 2008 :: Here's the link to the speed ack. I am not the creator of the hack so use it at your own will. Download AutoTyper.zip

Please do give me the link.
Thanks in advance
